Inaugural Conference, 2017

6-7 March 2017 - incollaboration with IIC, New Delhi on ‘Mapping India in the Eighteenth Century: Transformations and Transitions'.

IISECS had scholars from the fields of History, Literature, Philosophy, Music, Linguistics, Gender Studies, and Art History and we successfully hosted our inaugural conference at IIC in March, 2017. The proceedings of this conference were later published in the form of an edited volume Mapping India: Transitions and Transformations in the 18th-19th Centuries (Routledge, 2019).
